About Us
STABILITY
D.M.I. Tile and Marble, Inc. was founded in Birmingham, Alabama, by Jim Isaminger, President. Initially diversifying into several areas of the ceramic tile industry, he chose to focus on contracting in 1980. Since that time the company has experienced consistent growth, with current sales exceeding $12.8 million. D.M.I. has the professional staff and financial base required to handle any size contract. Operational and technological changes to improve service will continue, always building on the mission:
“To provide exceptional quality and service at a competitive price.”
LEADERSHIP
In the belief that leadership is the foundation of a successful business, D.M.I. has assembled a strong team. Jim Isaminger began his career in the field in 1952, gaining the practical knowledge and skills required in the trade as well as the financial management skills needed to sustain a healthy business over the years. He has served on the Boards of several local and national construction associations; in 1996 Isaminger was recognized by the National Tile Contractors Association as the Tile Man of the Year. In 2000 Isaminger was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the American Subcontractors Association.
Terry Isaminger, President and CEO, currently oversees all business operations. His 30 years of experience in field installation, sales, distribution, and business management provides the background needed to build for the company's continuation and future success.
Quinn Sanders, Field Operations, has responsibility for quality installation and cost control in the field. He is a Master Journeyman Mechanic with 30 years of experience in every phase of field operations, ceramic tile, pavers, terrazzo, and fabricated stone. He is also responsible for the labor force and is supported by full time field superintendents who are also journeyman mechanics.
Joe Floyd, Project Management and Estimating, uses his 40 years of trade experience to lead a department of experienced estimators and project managers. His field experience allows better understanding of the job as he leads his department in bidding and project implementation.
QUALITY AND CREDIBILITY
While being the low bidder may appear to give a competitive edge in today's business climate, the ability to provide a consistently superior level of service is equally important. Our entire staff is aware of the importance of service. Our stone fabricating shop allows the depth and versatility to fabricate projects on our site. Our warehouse and delivery department headed by Ryan Hays, insure proper material is on the job when required. The office and accounting staff provide support and the timely information necessary for D.M.I. to continue its commitment to being the best in every phase of our business.
