BIRMINGHAM, AL - DMI Tile & Marble, Inc. has been awarded the Associated General Contractors of America 2011 Build Alabama Award, Specialty Contractor for New Construction, for their installation of tile, terrazzo and stone at Capstone College of Nursing. The construction manager was Doster Construction Company, Inc., project architect, Turner Batson Architects and building owner, The Univrsity of Alabama. Terry Isaminger accepted the award for DMI.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - DMI Tile & Marble, Inc. has earned the coveted designation of Marble Institute of America (MIA) Accredited Commercial B Contractor and Accredited Natural Stone Fabricator. Accredited Commercial B companies are firms that handle commercial stone installations such as hotels and condominium projects, restaurants and other upscale commercial projects. Accredited Natural Stone Fabricators are primarily companies working on residential projects such as kitchens and bathrooms. DMI Tile & Marble, Inc. is the first company in the natural stone industry to earn this dual accreditation designation. Jimmy Isaminger, third generation leadership for DMI facilitated the approval process, earning DMI Tile & Marble the first in world-wide accreditation with the dual designation.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - DMI Tile & Marble, Inc. has been awarded the contract for Children's Hospital Expansion project. DMI will install 31,000 square feet of thinset epoxy terrazzo in eight colors. The Construction Manager is Hoar Construction and B E & K Building Group, Joint Venture. The DMI team is Joe Floyd, project manager and Quinn Sanders, field installation manager.
